For your consideration is a beautiful semi-black (N5) opal from Lightning Ridge, Australia. It features bright (3/5) blue, green, gold, and orange in Non-directional pattern. The nicely domed, oval-cut gem weighs 2.18 carats. It measures a CALIBRATED 10mm long by 8mm wide by 4mm high. No cracks or crazing, and clean face-up except for a little whisp of potch. A little clay on back. As always, this is an all-natural, untreated gemstone, mined from Mother Earth.
