1973 Plymouth Cuda (BS23H3B597301
) 340c.i., real factory Cuda with the original numbers matching driveline, correct FY1 yellow, automatic, console, bucket seats, black interior, rallye gauge cluster, black side stripe, 8 3/4 rear-end, wheel lip moldings, lower body side moldings, power steering, power front disc brakes, vinyl top, dual exhaust with factory chrome tips, 15” rallye wheels and factory a.m. radio!!!  All of the body vehicle order numbers match on the radiator support, cowl area, door vin decal and the original Data Tag.
The Cuda has been recently restored and looks fantastic (items will be listed below).  The Cuda will be an excellent car to be driven on nice days to shows and cruises.  A restoration of this caliber takes a lot of time, patience and money to be done correct.  Please understand this is not your average “driver” condition Cuda!!!
PAINT, BODY AND FRAME
The body is very straight and clean, nice seams and in excellent shape. The trunk floor, trunk extensions, wheel well housings, doors, frame, floor boards, hood and fenders all appear to be in great original condition. The driver side quarter has been replaced.  The undercarriage is very clean and neat with no apparent rust.  The FY1 Yellow base/clear paint was done around 2 years ago and has just recently been finished!  The super high-gloss deep clear coat shine was just professionally wet sanded with 1500, 2000, 2500 and 3000 grit paper to achieve a high caliber ultra finish. This long process alone took over 60 hours and the finish shows it!  The door jams and engine bay are very nice and clean but if I were to pick on the car they are not as nice as the exterior paint.  I just finished the long process of sanding, priming and painting the complete trunk and it looks extremely nice!  There are only a couple very minor flaws in the paint:  small brush touch-up chip on the front lower edge of the passenger side door and a pencil eraser size ding (high spot) on the front edge of the front driver side corner of the hood.  I have photos of these in the extra photo link listed below.  I know how important paint is so please take the time to call me and I will gladly go over the exact details of the paint, although it is extremely nice, there are always some very minor flaws.
GLASS, CHROME AND TRIM
The Cuda has a newer front windshield and the rest of the glass is factory Chrysler glass and in pretty nice original condition!  The passenger side glass has a straight down scratch forward near the side mirror area.  The rear glass has a small scratch in the lower center area and one up higher on the driver side corner.  The front and rear bumpers are brand new and in excellent condition.  The outside door handles are also new as well as the 340 hood emblems.  The trim pieces are in nice original condition and were polished for optimum shine.  The front grill appears to be a restored nice original piece and looks great!  The rocker moldings are nice originals as they have a few marks in them as well as the wheel lip moldings.
INTERIOR
The black interior has been mostly restored by the previous owner and looks very good!  The dash pad has a new replacement dash cap on it and looks very nice.  The headliner, speaker shelf, sill plates, door switches and trunk divider are newer.  The rallye gauge cluster appears to be in nice original condition and under the dash is very clean and neat.  All factory gauges work and operate correctly.  The original factory tach and clock are not working but there are reproduction ones available.  All lighting works as should including the high/low beams, dome light, reverse lights, tail lights, parking lights, turn signals, four-way flashers, dash reverse light and license plate light.  The fan motor, windshield wiper motor, heat/defrost, horn, factory AM radio, E-brake and E-brake light all work as should.  The Cuda has its original 2-speed wiper motor part number 3431718.
DRIVE TRAIN
The nice running 340 engine is the original numbers matching motor.  It has the correct 340 factory intake (#3671918), a newer Edelbrock electric choke 600cfm carb and electronic distributor kit with Mopar ECU box.  The engine I believe was rebuilt several years ago by the previous owners.  It seems to be a stock build and runs very nice but it does have headers added.  The casting date on the 340 is 5-25-73.  The engine casting number is 2780930-340 and the last 8 of the vin (sequential serial number) is stamped on the flat ID surface.  The Cuda has a new excellent sounding dual exhaust system with flow master mufflers and the correct factory chrome tips!!!
The 727 automatic transmission is also original numbers matching to the car.  It was just fully rebuilt and has all good internals including a bolt-in sprag and cleaned and rebuilt valve body.  It also has a new close to stock torque converter, flex plate and bolts.  It shifts excellent through the gears and is an absolute blast to drive!  The numbers on the ID badge are 3B597301 (last 8 of the vin).  The Cuda has excellent drivability and cools well even in stop and go traffic.  It has a brand new heavy duty aluminum radiator and also the factory fan shroud.  The Cuda has an 8 ¾ rear-end with a 489 case and a 3.23 non sure grip differential.  This excellent drive train combo runs and drives awesome in all conditions whether highway or city driving.
SUSPENSION
The front suspension has been checked over and is in good condition.  The power steering box feels pretty good overall but does have a little play in it.  All the brakes, rotors, drums, brake hardware, lines, hoses and wheel cylinders have all been changed in the last couple years.  The power front disc brakes feel excellent and stops very good!  The 15” Rallye wheels have been restored and have brand new chrome trim rings and lug nuts.  The BFG tires are about 60 to 70% good and are 215-70-15 fronts and 255-60-15 rears
